I guess Mary has decided that if she has to have "not-the-mama" then Grandma must be the one! :)
My dad has a table full of pictures of him, with each individual grandchild as babies/toddlers. (Cute gift idea for those grandparents!) The kids love looking at their picture with Grandpa.

Yes, there is something about grandmas that makes them one of the few acceptable "not-the-mamas".
